marzo 2018 IC Spain attends Symposium to promote inclusion The IC of Spain recently attended a symposium organized by the Foundation of the FC Barcelona and Special Olympics where the topic of inclusion at sports clubs was debated. The Acell Federation, which cooperates regularly with IC Spain, presented a pathway to integrating a section for athletes with intellectual disabilities into sporting organisations. The philosophy behind this is to use sport and leisure to boost the quality of life of these athletes, improving social interaction and integration. The Symposium encouraged the promotion of provisions for such athletes across all sporting clubs. A clinic for athletes with intellectual disabilities will once again be held at this year’s Potter Cup, with the participation of the flagship IC Spain tournament players.
