Potter Cup teams announced
Defending champions Spain have named the team that will compete in next week’s XLII Potter Cup. Captained by former Davis Cup player Miguel Mir, the team will be comprised of former ATP Top 30 player Javier Sanchez-Vicario, David de Miguel, Josep Blasi, Santi Tintoré, Francesc Castellá, Carlos Costa Bou, Francisco García, Martin Valentí and Eduard Osta.
Six other teams have confirmed their participation in the event; IC France, IC Italy, IC Belgium, IC USA, IC Great Britain, and IC Ireland.
Other players of note due to take part include former World Senior Champion Enrico Cassadei (ITA), ITF Grade 1 RC Polo champion Paolo Pambianco (ITA) and former Mexican Davis Cup player Agustin Moreno (USA).
The tournament will be staged at the RC Polo Barcelona from 29th May – 1st June, and is supported by the Catalan Tennis Federation, the Real Club de Tenis Barcelona-1899 and Barcelona City Council. The social program will include an exhibition of tennis for players with learning disabilities from the Acell Federation, and dinners at the RC Polo and RCTB-1899.
